• All communication regarding your child’s attendance/absence, surfboard hire, pickup/drop off location or any other pre-session details should be directed to the designated surf group Whatsapp Chat - not to the TSS general number. This ensures the Surf Facilitator conducting the session receives the information. Please note, messages or calls from 6.30pm likely will not be seen/answered til the following day.

    For emergencies or enquiries during a session, you can contact the session’s Surf Facilitator (SF) directly, or call 0434 442 648. (All contact details are listed in the Whatsapp group description which appears by tapping the whatsapp group name.)

    It is expected that lateness to collection or any absence is communicated. Not only is this courteous, it enables the SF to respond and plan appropriately for the other group members.

    With the vast amount of logistics involved in our service, communication is everything!

    • TSS cannot deviate from a sessions set pick up or drop off points. Doing so not matter how simple it may seem, only causes break downs in communication and other complications. If we personalise for one customer, then we’d have to do it for every customer.

    • Please only expect communication from us about timing if there is a 10 or more minute delay foreseen. This ensures our Surf Facilitators can stay focused when driving.

    • SF’s are unable to stay with your child after the drop off time has lapsed as they may have further drop offs to complete.

      Should we ever be early to pickup the SF will stay with your child til the set drop off time, before proceeding with the next drop off.

    • As highlighted above, please communicate your own personal delays should your child be delayed for collection. If communication is received, and the delay be on occasion, their is a greater likelihood the SF may be able to wait.

  • Despite all the sand and salt our vehicles collect from the 100+ kids we surf shuttle each week, we expect our surf facilitators vehicles to be respected by each child.

    If your child damages a vehicle in any way (chewing gum on seats, wall panel, fiddling with cup holders, etc)., you may be liable to pay the cost of reparation -

    It if therefore worth while for you to have a chat to your child prior to their commencement as a Surf Shuttler about being respectful of property. taking personal rubbish out of the van after a session, and that no wet wetsuits are allowed to be worn in the vehicles post surf (a towel and dry clothes to change into are required -a wet bag does not hurt either).

  • Although last minute requests for surf equipment is welcomed (via WhatsApp group), please don’t expect it to be fulfilled as often our vans are loaded the evening prior for early mornings, or in the morning for afternoon sessions.

    We will do our best to accomodate but we cannot guarantee the SF will be able to grab further equipment without 24 hrs notice.

  • Lost property can either be collected at the TSS garage at a time mutually convenient, or at a pick up/drop off location the shuttle is already going to (contact direct to arrange).

    Any lost property left in TSS vehicles cannot be personally dropped off to home locations. Our surf facilitators receive frequent requests to do this, but unfortunately cannot be delivery drivers.

    • For sessions missed due to sickness/appointments/lateness to collection etc - make ups can be arranged in another existing group that has space. See our FAQ’s for more info. TSS cannot provide refunds as your child’s space likely meant another child missed out.

    • If TSS ever cancels a session due to bad weather/exterior circumstances - a group reschedule makeup or a credit will be offered.

  • Shuttles routed to or from a specific school are only done so when a group is established with 4 or more kids. At the end of a term, TSS prioritise current groups for re-enrolment. This does still require a minimum of 4 kids to continue the group. If there are not 4 kids, then TSS can allocate your child to another established group. Communication is key at the end of a term should you wish to maintain a surf shuttle direct to/from your school. If there are not 4 kids, then TSS can look to allocate your child to another group.

    All surf shuttle groups have limited spaces. Should a participant withdraw from a group without payment despite a verbal commitment, payment will either be expected or your space will be replaced by another ready to enrol participant.
